Steven Andrew Light and Kathryn R.L. Rand regularly are asked to comment on a wide range of Indian gaming issues, including pending federal legislation, off-reservation gaming, tribal-state compacts, tribal sovereignty, Indian lands, the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, state gambling laws, and tribal economic development.  They have provided commentary to many national media outlets, including Bloomberg Media, Copley News Service, Associated Press, the Washington Post, and Congressional Quarterly magazine, as well as to numerous regional and local outlets.  They also write a column, “Indian Gaming Today: Law and Politics,” that appears regularly in Casino Lawyer magazine.  Recent media appearances include:
